The software against unemployment

Image result for software against unemploymentThe Bob Emploi algorithm is the brainchild of Paul Duan. The 25-year-old from Sciences Po is behind the creation of a computer program to help the unemployed. His idea took shape while he worked in Silicon Valley at Eventbrite. His role was to develop computer tools to reach a maximum of Internet users to promote events (concerts, shows, seminars, fundraising …). Paul Duan quickly realized that his software could be useful for helping people in need. Also, to develop his idea, he created the NGO Bayes Impact in 2014. This organization will focus on three major themes: justice, health and unemployment under the name of Bob Emploi .

In November 2016, Bob Emploi is launched in France. The innovative concept is acclaimed by the press. Paul Duan is invited in many TV shows to present his project. The political world also opens its doors. Emmanuel Macron, then Minister of the Economy under François Hollande, meets him to discuss his new software capable of overcoming unemployment. The Public Investment Bank (BPI) and Pôle Emploi take the initiative to finance the project. Large companies like Google or Publicis also decide to participate financially in the adventure.

The Bob Emploi software succeeds in processing the data provided by Pôle Emploi, taking into account the current labor market to best guide the unemployed in their research. Job seekers are first asked to complete a questionnaire. The information provided is necessary to establish the profile of the unemployed person. Then, thanks to its database, the algorithm is able to advise the jobseeker on the type of research to be carried out, to propose an adapted CV and a more targeted letter of motivation. Bob Jobs goes even further, this tool based on artificial intelligence is able to find you financial help to pay your license for example or identify training to complete your professional experience.

The interest of the program imagined by Paul Duan is not to replace the advisers of Pôle Emploi. The goal is to provide free, personalized and free access to all users. Since November 2016, 137,000 unemployed have tested the application Bob Jobs . The satisfaction rate is 89% and 42% of users said they found work thanks to this platform. These excellent results suggest that this software will offer in the coming months some support to help the unemployed to find a job that suits them.
