Celcom enters the metaverse with exclusive AR game and NFT services

Celcom has taken a deep dive into the metaverse with AR, Nonvoice Metaverse content for all subscribers. In partnership with 5G apps agency Nonvoice, the telecommunications company offers consumers 10 aggregated and integrated consumer apps, delivering digital experiences spanning AR gaming, education, digital collectibles and sports.

Available AR services include SCOAAR, a multiplayer AR air hockey game that allows two simultaneous players to freely interact with AR while physically moving; and Bookful, which contains an AR library with book titles from different publishers and brands. Celcom said this interactive experience allows children to engage beyond the pages of the book and extends their understanding of the content.

Additionally, Celcom users who sign up for the plan will receive an NFT on a weekly basis, as part of the brand’s GFT Exchange feature. The AR LearnX service seeks to help improve children’s vocabulary with AR, while InvadARsX is an AR spaceship defense game that lets players feel like they’re part of the game from the comfort of their own home .

Other AR services include a World League Live Soccer, which is a social fan engagement platform that connects social media fans around the world with the football clubs and stars they look up to, focusing on the first mobile generation.
