Jeff Heimann, a TMP graduate and current student at Cloud County Community College, has secured an internship with College Works Painting and will be serving Hays and surrounding areas this summer.

Heimann is currently the CWP Branch Manager for the Hays area and is studying wind energy technology at CCCC. After graduation, Heimann plans to attend school at Fort Hays State University, where he will work toward a degree in business marketing.

Working alongside CWP is an important step in Heimann’s career. “It’s a really great and unique opportunity, the interview process goes through a lot of applicants, so it’s exciting to be part of this group,” Heimann said.

CWP is currently ranked number nine among all college scholarships according to Firsthand, a professional engagement platform powered by first-hand experiences. With an overall ranking of 9.375, CWP is the second internship for overall career development and third for real-life experience.

Alongside a team of interns, Heimann will complete a 6-12 week paid internship, servicing all areas within a one hour radius of Hays.

Services include complete exterior, interior, deck and fence staining. Heimann said this opportunity will help him gain real-world experience in a team environment, which he believes will be beneficial for his future career explorations.

The group will paint approximately 20-30 homes over the duration of the summer, providing custom paint jobs that ensure durability, sealing and protecting surfaces from sun and moisture.

The ultimate goal for Heimann is to work hard, complete his education, and open his own business. Working with CWP is an important step in its journey towards its future.

“We are ready and excited to develop a professional relationship with every client, as well as deliver excellent work on any job, big or small,” Heimann added.
