Kinley Jewelers sees a windfall in business | News, Sports, Jobs

Upon entering the downtown Williamsport store of Kinley Jewelers, it becomes apparent that this is more than just a jewelry store. In addition to display cases lined with dazzling jewelry, there are clocks, chandeliers, crystal frames, jewelry boxes, and more. Perhaps that is why more and more customers are returning to the family business.

“2020 has been the busiest year ever for us,” said Debbie Kinley, co-owner of the company.

This is an understatement since the jewelry store will celebrate its 75th anniversary next year. Kinley credits their longevity to the family’s dedication to their customers.

“We are able to give each client a personal touch and individual attention. With the years that we have been here, we have a lot of experience under our belt,” explained Kinley.

In addition to having a diverse inventory, the store also repairs watches, jewelry, and grandfather clocks. “It’s a big problem for people because we will go to their homes to fix their clocks,” Kinley said.

When it comes to their jewelry inventory, Kinley offers trinkets ranging from watches to engagement rings to estate jewelry. Lately, lab-grown diamonds are selling quite well due to the fact that they are conflict-free and grown above ground, eliminating the need for dangerous underground mining.

Kinley said, “Diamonds and wedding bands are the biggest part of our business. Wedding season is every day.
