VCSU Online Programs Ranked Top by US News and World Report

Valley City State University’s online Master of Education and Bachelor’s degree programs have been recognized by US News and World Report in its ranking of the best online programs.

VCSU was ranked second in North Dakota in online master’s and bachelor’s degree programs. Factors considered in the rankings include student engagement, services and technology available to students, faculty credentials and training, and expert opinion on the academic quality of programs. Student excellence is also considered for schools offering online masters degree programs.

“We continue to aggressively develop and deliver a wide variety of degrees that help students become future leaders,” said President Alan LaFave. “We are a technology-driven school, and this national ranking reaffirms the high-quality educational experiences our students receive in the classroom and online.”

VCSU’s new Master of Science in Business Information Systems, launching in 2022, is intended to meet community and state workforce needs. This course is currently offered exclusively online.

The VCSU Master of Education (M.Ed.) program offers six concentrations: Elementary Education, Teaching English, Library and Information Technology, Teaching English Language Learners, Teaching and Technology, and Teaching Technology. The university also offers a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program, designed to help graduates in non-teaching fields obtain teaching licenses.

VCSU’s online bachelor’s degree programs include Business Education, Business Process Integration Management, Vocational and Technical Education, Communication, Elementary Education, English, English Teaching , history, history education, management, mathematics education, music, social studies, social studies education and technology. education.
