ARLINGTON, Virginia, October 25, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Willis Towers Watson (NASDAQ: WLTW) has appointed Diana Fox Carney as strategic advisor at its award-winning Climate Resilience Center. As a long-time leader in transformative policy and business thinking, Fox Carney will join Willis Towers Watson’s teams on climate, resilience and ESG solutions serving businesses and public sector institutions in North America and across the world.
As a development economist, Fox Carney has developed a preliminary understanding of the risks of global sustainability and the challenges, choices and opportunities for institutions on the path to a low carbon, net zero future. Previously, Fox Carney led research at think tank IPPR and was a former executive director of Pi Capital, curating and communicating ideas that shape the world for leaders in business and finance. She has also held senior positions in think tanks in Canada and the UK, focusing primarily on energy and climate. Fox Carney is a member of the Balsillie School of International Affairs and current or past board member of several development and climate nonprofits. She works with several climate technology companies and sits on the advisory board of BeyondNetZero, a growth equity fund focused on reducing carbon emissions.
